Tur Esaki is an online marketplace that connects Dutch Caribbean retailers to online audiences.
In May 2020, Tur Esaki was launched as a means to connect retailers and consumers across the Dutch Caribbean. At the time, the entire world was coming to terms with a new economic reality. One which was being shaped by the disastrous impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.
It became painfully apparent that without tourism, the islands were not able to survive. What made matter worse, was the fact that islanders themselves were unable to visit local stores. Logically, given the health risks involved, even if they could, few would do so.
Never before had it been so obvious that the typical island economy had to modernize. To that end, Tur Esaki sees it as its mission to facilitate, support and propel the evolution of e-commerce in the Dutch-Caribbean.
